Beside that, web search function combines the powerful Google search engine with Alexa's web site information and puts it all inside an Amazon.com interface. Build in popup blocker is available too.

One of the unique features of this toolbar is that it sends data to their server about surfers behavior: how much time they stay at the site, and what are the urls of the other sites that they have recently visited. All these data are analyzed and than served back to all users of Alexa toolbar.

With all this, it sounds like this is a toolbar that you must have but let me tell you something.

Alexa toolbar was considered for a long time as a spyware. They do not use unique numbers any more but most anti-virus programs try to remove it from your system. This bad reputation scared many newbies and most people in the IT industry do not like it.

My personal opinion is that it is used more by web site owners that avarege users so the info provided is very biased.
